Description

This lecture will discuss the technology of high flow oxygen delivery as an alternative to mechanical ventilation.  Indications for therapy will be discussed as well as selection of cases who may benefit from this type of therapy.  Nursing care of the patient while receiving high flow oxygen therapy will be discussed.  Set-up of the equipment, selection of appropriate cannulas sizes and trouble-shooting the machine will also be covered.
